Ragdoll Island is a place where you will find the most beautiful and magnificent creatures with eyes as deep blue as the sea. Their exquisite rabbit soft fur is low shedding and non matting. These creatures, known as the Ragdoll, are so gentle and docile that when they are picked up, their body goes completely relaxed and limp like a child’s floppy rag doll.
Ragdolls, truly adore their humans. Like a shadow, they follow you from room to room and run to greet you at the door. They flop on you, tummy up, sit and lay with you as they lull you to sleep with their magically soft rhythmic type motor.
The Ragdoll is very intelligent and extremely playful. They love to fetch a toy, go for a walk on a leash, or join you for a ride in the car. They also like to get out of the house with you and go visit family and friends. Quite often, these wonderful companions travel with their humans, as they adapt very easily to new surroundings, people, animals and other pets. It is extremely rare for a ragdoll to hide in new situations.
These fascinating animals grow exceptionally large and heavy. When you think that your ragdoll is done growing, it will grow some more. Full maturity of size and color is not to be expected for at least 4 years. Adult males may reach 18lbs or more with an adult female weighing about 5lbs less and a few inches shorter in length.
